"ls" of only linked files

Hi,

I have a directory where in I have few files linked to others.

For eg: assume I have 8 files like below (ls-l)

a.rom -> b.rom
b.rom
c.rom
d.rom->e.rom
e.rom
f.rom->g.rom
g.rom
h.rom

Here, If I give "ls -L *.rom" output would be

a.rom b.rom c.rom d.rom e.rom f.rom g.rom h.rom

But I want only "a.rom c.rom d.rom f.rom h.rom" as output, May I know what option with "ls" I should use to get only files they are linked and not avoid duplicates...

Thanks,
Sharath

Try this...

ls -l|awk 'NF>8{f[$9]=1}NF==11{l[$11]=1}END{for(x in f)if(!l[x]) print x}'|sort

Hi,

Command :

ls -l|awk 'NF>8{f[$9]=1}NF==11{l[$11]=1}END{for(x in f)if(!l[x]) print x}'|sort

says l[x] event not found.

When I modified array for f, I got output but it is too lengthy.
I want to FTP the output of this command from a script.

Thanks,
Sharath

Maybe I am making this too simple... but If you are only looking for the link file... it will have a l "ell" in the front of the permissions...

lrwxr-xr-x 1 root sys 23 Aug 28 2000 S990dtlogin.rc -> /sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc

ls -la |grep ^l #"ell"

It worked

Thanks Kelam_Magnus.
It is displaying only linked files (Quite a simple way of getting it !!)

Currently it is displaying the output in "ls -la" format. I wanted only "link file names". I will try to extract the same.

Thanks again,
Sharath

ls -la |grep ^l |awk '{ print $NF }'
