Will there be broken dependancies afrer removing the compile from dir ?
hi there,
i've made an installation trough compilation. I have the source directory and i wonder does the installed package depend on it, or i can remove it ?

Assuming the software is written correctly, once you do a "make install" as root, you should be able to remove the source directory without problems. Before you do that, however, make sure you have copied all the configuration files and documentation, or that the install has done this for you already.

Alternatively, you can do a "make clean" to remove the binaries from the source tree, and leaving everything else intact.
