Power Problem with tab seperated file in UNIX
Hi All,

I am facing a problem while getting the data from an Oracle table

Problem:

I am getting rows from an Oracle table to a tab seperated file.

One of the columns in that table have value with in between spaces like

AAAAA AAA

It's loading fine to .tab file.
But when opening in an excel it showing it in another column like

AAAAA as 1 column & AAA as another column

I cannot use "AAAAA AAA" in tab file, because when they open the tab file" should not appear

please advice

Try importing the data file instead of just opening it, it should let you pick what delimiters to use.

users will not open like tht
they will jst double click the file

I'm facing a strange problem, please help me out. Here we go. I want to count number of fields in particular file. filename and delimiter character will be passed through parameter.
