cd ..

Hi,

I Have user ftp with home directory /pub then when
#pwd
#/pub
#cd /pub
#ls -la
drwxr-xr-x 3 root sys 512 Nov 21 2007 .
drwxr-xr-x 61 root root 1536 Nov 23 16:25 ..
drwxr-xr-x 28 adm group 1024 Nov 10 16:23 dato

the user ftp navegate in /pub, /pub/dato .. etc,

I but not like as user execute cd ..
how restric the cd .. for user ftp in this directory /pub and the user can loging via ftp ?

This is a good that you do not want ftp users running all over your system.

The usual way to restrict an ftp use is to create a chroot jail for that user.

Setup a chroot user environment

This example is for linux.
