Windows/Linux VPN

I was wondering whether any of you have any idea what VPN server software out there will be able to connect *SEAMLESSLY* to a Windows 2000/XP client? In order for this to really work, I need it to work "out of the box" i.e. no additional software to install on the Windows 2k side of it all. I'm trying to push Linux over here, but my boss wants the solution to be seemless, as to cut down on installation time I guess. Thanks!

Well it depends on your definition of "seamlessly"..

I've had success with CIPE:

My setup when I was playing with this was RH 9 on both sides (CIPE comes w/ this distro)...and it was fairly simple to get running.

A win2K port is available, but I havent tried it:

by seamless i meant that it wouldnt require any additional software to be installed on win2k/xp. something that would work on the windows side "out of the box".

found a solution:
http://www.poptop.org/
its called Poptop, and its compatible with MS's pptp. That was really what I was looking for. Theyre's also a client for linux, called PPTP-linux. Thanks.
