Interent connection in solaris 10

HI

I have configured the /etc/hosts ,/etc/defaultrouter,/etc/resolv.conf files for interenet connection.but it didn't work

usually i access the net connection through router .

am i need to enter the router ip address or modem ip address in /etc/defaultrouter file

and also what should i enter in /etc/resolv.conf file as i have different dns name servers for router and modem.

detail explanation of configruingwould be helpful
