You can download and install solaris for x86 and install them.
Or you can use a VMWare like VirtualBox that allows you to run solaris on your Windows PC concurrently.

Hi incredible,
I have also heared about VMWare for x86 Systems.
I have laptop and I also want to have solaris along with windows.
So, could you explane something more about VMWare....
From where we can get this software, configuration required and any other thing we must know.....

purchase VMware workstation alone..about USD 190...
u can install it in your windows machine...and install multiple OS...including solaris,unix,linux...its good for learning purpose..and you don't have the trouble of making dual boots or stuffs like that ...which are considered obsolete.the world is heading towards virtualization.should buy one ! if u wanna run multiple OS on single machine...worth very much...! best of luck...

I am a newbie to Unix, I am using vi editor. I was able to print output to the screen using simple scripts.
