Mozilla, how to remove

I got this Mozilla and unzipped the package and installed on my server. Now I am told that this was a mistake and need to remove Mozilla. I know I can remove Mozilla with pkgrm but this unzipped file was apparently not installed this way. I believe the file was installed with the mozinstall script.

Can anyone tell me how to remove Mozilla on my system? I wish this unzipped file poroduced a unistall script but it looks like it did not?

Thanks for your help.

You can remove the package with pkgrm.. After that you can check the package by using pkginfo -i <package_name>
If it returns zero then the package has been removed completely.
I'm not sure with the unzipped file, but if I'm not mistaken zipped file usually make a specific folder that you can delete it manually..

still other questions

Thanks for your help.

When I unzipped the file in a directory I created, the unzip produced a couple of check scripts and mozinstall, and 13 SUN packages starting with SUNxxx.

My concern is if I did the pkgrm on each package individually, should I know which SUNWxxx package to do first? In other words, must they be done in a certain order? Would some of this package interface/impact other packages like maybe JRE?

Thanks for your help.

Have you executed the pkgadd to those unzipped package? If you haven't then you don't have to be worry.. You can just remove the folder.. But. if you have executed it then you have to remove it by using pkgrm..
Why do you want to remove all those unzipped packages? I thought that you just want to remove the Mozilla.. Is there any extra warning? If there's no extra warning I think you don't have to remove it...

No...I did not execute the pkgadd to those package, but I bet the mozinstall script used pkgadd to install the packages that are SUNWxxx. When this mozinstall script was executed, it created a dir and had a few things in there, among them a few SUNWxxx packages so I know that pkgadd was used to install mozilla.

My real concern is are any of the mozilla packages related to or dependencies to other packages?

incredible, your answer is incredible enough. Smilie

I went ahead and tried the pkgrm SUNWmozilla and the system came back with:

#Removing installed package instance <SUNWmozilla>
#Verifying package <SUNWmozilla> dependencies in global zone
WARNING:
The <SUNWjre-config> pagkage depends on the package currently being removed.

I got 15 of these warnings.
Dependency checking failed.
Do you want to continue with this removal? (I clicked no but I guess if I clicked yes, the system will go back to the pre-mozilla install state?

This is why I am most concerned with removing mozilla and may cause more problems. According to my work force, this needs to be removed. Is this normal and has anyone clicked yes and not had any problems??

Thanks for your help.
