And also, I don't want to go through re-creating the RAID cos Im afraid it will destroy the data on my disks which are in sync now. So I will need a perfect answer. If not will be screwed up by my user Smilie I actually wanted to carry out the upgrade on the actual x2100 system. Since the user cant get a downtime, he wanted me to make sure it worked on the non-live system. If installation is all OK,he suggested that we just move the disks over the the Live system. But I dont think he's sure of his expectation, while im afraid down here

The swapping of the disks not done yet. Noone is giving an answer to this and its very uncertain. Moreover , the user called up this morning and informed that the raid is not showing optimal and is still in sync state, which shoudn't be the case, cause I did the H/W RAID yesterday morning. even 500G, by now should be done, correct? Im lost.
he did a raidctl -l c1t0d0 and noticed the "sync" state

I asked user to run #iostat -xcn 3 and he reorted there are all zeroes for the past 30 secs, and it seemed there is no activity/synchronization between the disks currently.
