Question I cant boot my sunfire v120

Please, I have a SunFire v120 and I don't know what happens...
When I try poweron and use a notebook to conect to my system I got this message:

Type control-d to proceed with normal starup (or give root password for system maintenance)

If i click control+d some errors appear (cant mount /var....)

And I don't know the password (was not me that used this system... and nobody knows the password)

What can i do ???
I am a newbie in the Solaris OS.

I already downloded the Solaris 10 to install, but i dont know how... because i dont know how to boot from a cd if i dont have the password

Please, i really need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my dear, you've been thrown into system maintenance mode. Give the root password that you have set for root during installation. Your filesystem might have corrupted and you need to perform fsck on all partitions.
eg
fsck -F ufs -y /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s0

and so on for other slices.
Perform the fsck thrice for each slice to make sure its clean. Then, cd /, sync;sync;sync;sync , then issue "reboot".

no worries if you don't know the root passwd. In this case, drop the system to OK prompt. boot cdrom -sw using your Sol 10 OS CD. The system will bring you to single user mode and you'll see the shell prompt.
Mount your device and mask out the root passwd in the shadow file.
eg
mount /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s0 /mnt
cd /mnt/etc
cp -p shadow shadow.org
vi shadow -> remove the alphanumeric stuff field (encrypted passwd)
save the file.
cd /
umount /mnt
Perform fsck as posted above and reboot.
Before reboot, check your /etc/vfstab file for any mistypo...in case..

Thank you for the help....

but you said: "drop the system to OK prompt"

Ok is the enter??
Because when i press enter i get again this message:
Type control-d to proceed with normal starup (or give root password for system maintenance)

I don't have a sun keyboard.

If you have a broken install of solaris which it looks like you do and you don't care about fixing. When you boot the machine up hit "stop and a" on a sun keyboard i forget the break command on a regular keyboard this will halt the system and bring you to an OK prompt from there put in the solaris 10 cd and type "boot cdrom" the machine will then reboot and start installing solaris 10 for you.
