problem with mirroring

Hello,

i'm pretty new in using solaris (5.10) and i'm kind of stuck with one problem. I'm trying to create a disk mirror cause of data redundancy. I've installed second disk in my system, prepared everything for creating a mirror (by following the instructions) and don't get any responce for command matadb (i.e. metadb -a -f -c2 c1t0d0s0 c1t1d0s0). After, when i type matadb i get this message: metadb: app1: there are no existing databases.
Anyone knows what is the problem??

thanks in advance Smilie

is c1t0d0s0 your root filesystem? you need free space on your disk for the meta db's. when i do a fresh install of solaris i allways give 100mb to slice 6 and slice 7. you never know what happens to your machine the next day Smilie

i didn't have free space on disk so that's why i couldn't create metadb, i fixed that but now i have other problem..i followed the manual that craigp84 gave me and i got step 6.7 where i had to do metattach d30 d10 but i couldn't do it..anyone has clue for this one? Smilie
thanks again..
