restore mirrored root

Hi,
I have an ultra60 SUN Server with Solaris 10 4/04 S.O. installed on.
I mirrored root disk and now I try to restore this.
I simulate that I have lose the root FS, not for a hardware faillure but for a software problem and I can't use "meta"commands for using a good submirror.
I must restore all the root FS.
Before I saved root with ufsdump.
Then I booted from cdrom in single user mode.
I restored root from dat
I modified /etc/vfstab changing info about root FS.
I would also modify /etc/system for about entries of Solaris volume manager added for root metadevice, and I found that entries was disappeared. I verified /etc/system file saved on dat and was the original but after ufsrestore it seems that it changes.
However I modified only /etc/vfstab and I tried to boot system.
The system, after memory test crashes continuously.
I remember that I did this work whit Solaris 9 and also 2.6 and it worked fine.
Anyone could help me?
There is another procedure to follow for restoring a mirrored root in a Solaris 10 Operating enviroment?

Thanks

Solaris 10 SysAdmin guide shows the same steps as normal to restore / or /usr
(see docs ).

Did you do the ufsdump before you set up mirrors? This would explain why /etc/system didn't have any MDD root info.

What errors do you get when attempting to boot? Did you install a boot block?

I seem to remember needing to move the md*.cf and associated files when attempting to boot without using the SVM in earlier versions - did you move the /etc/lvm/md*.cf files out of the way? This may or may not be needed.

Take a look at this thread - it may be helpful.
