Inband communication for 6140 storage

Hi,

How to establish in band communication in solaris 10 to connect 6140 storage. one lun is mapped to this storage.

My storage both controller IP not working. When i tried to connect serial cable console also not coming.

You need 38400 8N1 (Configuring IP Addressing) to get output to your terminal device! Also you need to send a "break" to the device to get response from the terminal. Also see at the above link.

The software to connect to the array is CAM or Santricity. I've never used in-band management features on this type of array (only for SE35xx arrays...) but according to this document it should be possible...

You could also try the Solaris web console on the server that is controlling the 6140. We use a CAM to control th 6140.

We're moving our production 3510FC to development, so we need to replace the production 3510FC. The 6140 is nice, but pricey.
