Solaris

Hi,

I have veritas 4.1 in my solaris test box, as i checked in it I could not see the vxiod daemon running with ps -ef command.
whereas when i gave the vxiod command, it gave the following o/p
# vxiod
10 volume I/O daemons running

i can guess that I/O daemon is runnning but not sure why this is not visible with ps -ef command.

can somebody help me here!!!

Is there any direct command which provides the list of daemons running in the system.

I don't know much about veritas, but try following command to get the daemons running -

# ps -ef | grep -i vxvm

Just to be sure are you talking about veritas NetBackup or veritas the volume manager. I know NetBackup but I don't know anything about the volume manager.
