In paritulcar, a local router or gateway is either not generating or not passing on ICMP "Time Exceeded" packets. These are used by traceroute to work out the hops on the way to a destination.

traceroute with option I works
the usual command "traceroute servername" didnt work..
but "traceroute -I servername" worked Smilie

Just confirms that certain ICMP packets are being filtered/blocked on your network.

QNX host cannot ping SCO host, vice versa
