I have installed solari8 for x86.but it use CDE,I want to use command line.

Also; you can drop down to a text login when the graphical login screen is presented (I think it's Options -> Command Line Login - but my Solaris x86 box isn't on now for me to check).

If you want to disable it (the graphical login) permanently try this

I still not solve my problem.. For mr zazzybob¡¯s help.I know when The graphical login screen presented I can choose login option.CDE or Command line. Surprise! The graphical login screen has not presented all the while.i try to use sigle user to update /usr/dt/bin ¡®dtconfig ¨Cd¡¯ or ¡®dtconfig ¨Ce¡¯ .but it isn¡¯t effective.i logout then boot system i I login as a root,it¡¯s still have no graphical login screen,I have no chance to choose to command line.i don¡¯t know why I never seen a graphical login screen.i can¡¯t use command line to do my job.i can use cde only.
