Solaris 10 + MLAG

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has implemented Multi Chassis Link Aggregration with solaris 10 and 10 BGE? We're about to do some experimenting with it and wondering if anything specific has to be done on the OS or is it the same as setting up a normal Link Aggr.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

thanks! Smilie

It seems like a very very switch/brouter related technology to do what a shared cluster IP does at an Ethernet level.

Wiki seems to say pretty much the same but for the distance and potential additional impacted net boxes.

I still like the DNS random distribution method, where the DNS servers for a sub-domain are the application serving hosts, each saying it is the resolution of the same host name. DNS will find one that is up and it will say "Use me." But everyone's needs and protocols vary.
