Bad Joojoo right there. You ran out of virtual memory. Do you have top installed on the system? Can you run a top? The other other command I think is prstat.

I'm just looking for some stats of your physical memory usage. Looks like your out of virtual memory.

If you are completely full, you might need to repartition the drive with more swap or possibly add an additional harddrive with additional swap.

Depending on the OS in use, adding a swap file could be an option, too - on the long run, however, I'd recommend taking a very close look on the Java apps running on the server (- merely a gut feeling, but one of them might be "eating memory" ...).

Code:
# df -kh swap
Filesystem size used avail capacity Mounted on
swap 5.7G 36K 5.7G 1% /var/run

mkfile to create file

Code:
/var/run/mkfile 1024m /swap

tell the system to start using this file. that's solve right

Code:
/var/run/swap -a /swap

Already there was a file. can I just increase the file size is enough right or not.If anyone have idea, guide me on this.thanks, regards.

Code:
# swap -l
swapfile dev swaplo blocks free
/dev/dsk/c1t0d0s1 30,65 8 12594952 12594952

#mkfile 1000m /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s1

#swap -a /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s1

To further the post above, you will probably want to put this in /etc/vfstab to ensure the swap file persists reboots

java will only use the memory assigned. Even the system physical memory are big.

Read the link (Tuning Java virtual machines) first:
WebSphere Application Server Version 6.0.2

Normally increase Xms, Xmx, PermSize, MaxPermSize will fix your issue.
