Booting from wrong SCSI-disk. Error -256 Stack Underflow
Hi.
I need to boot on Sun Blade 150 from scsi-disk, that ran on old Sun Ultra 10. It is necessary to take some the information from an old disk and something to study. The workstation is booted and I receive the following issue: ![]() Sun Blade 150 (UltraSPARC-IIe 650MHz), No Keyboard (tip connection) Copyright 2005 Sun Microsystems, Inc. All rights reserved. at the ok> prompt type devalias. check for the device path for disk or disk0.
then issue ok> boot disk or <path>. before doing so, change the boot-device param at the OBP |

Boot the system from cdrom to single user. backup the data in the filesystem. then fsck the filesystems (until no more errors seen), remember to installboot bootblk on slice0 and try again.
btw no need to create alias at this state. just do a boot normally. if successful, then do it later. don't confuse or put "alot of things" by creating aliases when you're troubleshooting Last edited by incredible; 12-15-2009 at 09:11 AM.. |
