SAN Storage to solaris 10 server

Hi,
I have configured our SAN Storage to be connected to our new SUN T5220.
On the SAn it looks all fine
on the server I do not see any connection:
cfgadm -al

the cableing for the SAn is connected to c4 and c7

currently already we have another storeage on c3 and c4

Questions:
Is it in generel possible to connect 2 different storage via c4 ?
Why so I not see anything with cfgadm -al ? also a cfgadm -c configure on any c*
does not change anything

thanks,

Manni

can you please execute these two commands and tell us the output ?

# luxadm -e port

#luxmadm probe

it will show you the HBA connection with the storage

# luxadm -e port

/devices/pci@0/pci@0/pci@9/SUNW,qlc@0,1/fp@0,0:devctl NOT CONNECTED
luxadm probe

you see luxadm -e port shows only 2 cards activ but it should be 3

even san connection cable is on 1 already acti card and 1 not "connected card"

luxadm probe shows path to current attached storage

thanks

so you're having only two connections.

From your server you have to check that the HBA is working or not... and verify your cables.

From the SAN, just verify that port your connected to is enabled.

Most of the time, the problem lies at the switch end
