Useful information, your post lacks it.

Try:

./configure
make
make install

/usr/local/bin/lynx

Hi,
I run the ./configure and get this:

Code:
bash-2.03$ ./configure
checking build system type... sparc-sun-solaris2.8
checking host system type... sparc-sun-solaris2.8
checking target system type... sparc-sun-solaris2.8
Configuring for solaris2.8
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cl... no
configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH
bash-2.03$

my gcc is located in:
/usr/local/bin/gcc

Where do I do the change?

Tnx

bash-2.03$ PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/bin ./configure

Much better, tnx. But still the ./make install is not working now!

bash-2.03$ /usr/ccs/bin/make install

sh: LYHelp.h: cannot create
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `LYHelp.h'

The usual 3 steps are
  • ./configure
  • make
  • make install
You're leaving out the middle step.

From my point you've got 3 options (with the most preferable first):
  1. Change your PATH variable permanently to include /usr/local/bin
  2. Run make using the same modified path variable as for configure (PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/bin make)
  3. Run configure again as CC=/usr/local/bin/gcc ./configure
But I'd really suggest using either the first or, but only if the first is not possible, the second method. The third should only be used if everything else fails.

Hi Pludi,
I didn't, I just save you for that:

Code:
bash-2.03$ /usr/ccs/bin/make
/bin/sh -c 'SHELL=/bin/sh /bin/sh ./scripts/cfg_defs.sh .'
