How to use PS command
Hi all,

How to get the IP address using PS command in Unix?
Which option we can use for this?

e.g., absoo -s 75.125.250.34 -i 6b3c9m1o

In this example absoo is processname and
6b3c9m1o is session id.

ps lists processes.

Code:
NAME
ps - report a snapshot of the current processes.

SYNOPSIS
ps [options]

DESCRIPTION
ps displays information about a selection of the active processes.

Hi Ikon,

I tried almost all the options in PS command but i didn't get IP address. Its always giving me the following parameters only. Namely, UID PID PPID C STIME TTY TIME CMD and etc.

PS lists processes, has nothing to do with IP.

Hi Ikon,

I want to get the output of the PS command as mentioned below.

dyyno -s 75.125.250.34 -i 4f5a3c2c

In this dyyno is process name, 4f5a3c2c is session id and 75.125.250.34 is IP address.

This is not a normal way to get an ip address but you can try this. The syntax is going to depend on the OS as well.

Where are you getting the session id?
