why are you using awk '{print $8}'??
i think it gives you time stamp field if you wanna get the file name you have to take $9

#for i in *; do if [ -d $i ]; then mkdir $i/Public; mkdir $i/Private; find $i -wholename "$i/.*" -prune -o -wholename "$i/Public" -prune -o -wholename "$i/Private" -prune -o -wholename "$i/Desktop" -prune -o -print -exec mv {} $i/Public \; ; fi; done
