Trigger a job on autosys failure
Hi,
we have thousands of autosys jobs scheduled. I want a common job or script to be triggered if any of the autosys job fails? Now, obviously i cannot have a new autosys job with condition as failure of each of 1000s of jobs.
Is there an autosys script/job that invokes when any job fails and a way to know which job failed? I need to call an automated script that will handle when an autosys job fails.
I cannot query the autosys database but can run the autorep command. But again i don't want to 'poll' at regular intervals to find a failed job, instead i want to be notified on a failure (triggered).

have you asked CA for technical support. I believe the software can be configured to do just that.
