i m running following code

isql -U${PIMMD_ID} -P${PIMMS_PWD} -S$SRV << eof > /sybase/applications/pimms/bin/automate1.txt
use pimms
go
select getdate()
select * from martini..configuration
eof
#echo "LS"
#ls -lrt
cat automate1.txt


in automate1.txt i dont have any output... the size of automate1.txt is 0 byte.

plz correct me where i m missing....

I am not too sure about sybase.

But do you see anything on the screen when you run it.

You could try adding 2>&1
just in case the output is going to stderr

Also do you need another "go"
after the select statements?

i tried go statements also.
i dont get any otput on screen.
is prints 1 and then come out from programm

as per my logic i should get output in my file

i dont where i m missing
