Validating a file in ksh
Ladies and Gents,

I need to be able to verify the file and validate the file format. Is there a way to verify this using ksh? Please forgive me, I'm very new to UNIX scripting.

Code:
12345_dbname_1_sqlname.sql

12345   - change number
dbname  - database name
1       - sequence
sqlname - sql script name to be executed.

NAME

       suspend - shell built-in function to halt the current shell

SYNOPSIS

   sh
       suspend

   csh
       suspend

   ksh
       suspend

DESCRIPTION

   sh
       Stops the execution of the current shell (but not if it is the login shell).

   csh
       Stop the shell in its tracks, much as if it had been sent a stop signal with ^Z. This is most often used to stop shells started by su.

   ksh
       Stops the execution of the current shell (but not if it is the login shell).
