Debian POSIX redirect file descriptor to subshell
Hello,

The well-known 'bashism' to redirect stdout to a subshell is:

exec > >(tee out.log)

This allows to 'split' stdout, sending a copy to a log file for future reference.

I have not managed to find a way to do that in a POSIX-compliant way, as I would like my script to be run from dash (default POSIX-compliant Debian shell).
Is there any?

What I want to do, since it did not seem to be obvious, is to redirect the output of a whole script from within.

Code:
exec > >(tee out.log)

redirects stdout to tee, which then splits it beween stdout and the file.

Wrap the script's entire inside into curly braces and pipe the output to tee.

mkfifo YY
<YY tee XX &
exec >YY
