in cmd prompt "set" gave this result:

and
1).i need to change this "windir"
2).what does it mean "windir" path. ..

It's the Windows base directory, I guess.

You can change the value as long as the script is running:

D:\Documents and Settings\bernardchan>perl e:\documents\temp\test2.pl

Note that the value will not be kept after execution, and will revert to the previous value.
