Replace x-y character in line

I have a file which has n number of lines, i want to replace 3rd line position 3-5 to some text.

Code:
111111111111111111
222222222222222222
333333333333333333
444444444444444444
 
expected output
 
111111111111111111
222222222222222222
33abc3333333333333
444444444444444444

it is not mandatory that line starts with 33.. it can be any text

it is giving error as below
