Mail attachment
Hi,
I want to send an attachment and content in a single mail using unix command can anyone pls help me?

I tried with the above command but i'm not getting the content in the mail.Just attachment ly i'm getting.
Can u pls eloborate how to attach mail as well as with the comments inside the mail.

I tried with the below code and got mail along with attachment but comments section is empty.
echo "Pls find attached sheet" | uuencode /apps/rtk/scratch/naveen/text.gz text| mailx -m -s test naveencse23@gmail.com

You have to combine all the output together to send to mailx, so use ( ) around all output (both the echo statement and the uuencode statement).

Also, don't pipe your echo output into uuencode. It's two different statements. Instead of the pipe symbol, use the ';' to separate out the statements.

I put changes in red in the code below.
