\!*

Hello everyone.

Over time I've seen \!* used in shell scripts. Based on examples (bottom of the page) I've found, I assume it substitutes all of the arguments passed, which I thought $* was typically used for.

I cannot find it in the few books I have, and search engines aren't friendly when using these characters.

Does anyone have a solid description/explanation of what this is doing?

Thanks.

Is there a method to pass an argument to a Korn alias?

Thanks.
