Issue with Connecting to ftp server
Hi All,
I have a ftp link as "ftp://ftp1.xyz.org/abc_ike/". The same thing is opening fine when I use a browser. But I am not sure how to connect to the above link from console. I used the command
Code:
ftp ftp1.xyz.org

The above is not working. I am not getting any error it simply stands still. Can someone please let me know how to use the ftp command.

check traffic for ftp proto with tcpdump for which used IP address while try within browser..detect the IP ADDR,
Code:
# tcpdump port 21

and check the what is ip that you go for ftp connec req in the console
Code:
# strace ftp ftp1.xyz.org 2>&1 |awk '/inet_addr/{print;exit}'

compare both of them and add the correct/noproblemtoaccess IP to local host (/etc/hosts) and then go
