how to change ORACLE HOME?

All,
I have to change my ORACLE_HOME in the prodution environment.
I have chaged it in .profile file but when I am typing the command

bash-2.05$ echo $ORACLE_HOME
/apps/oracle/product/10.2.0.4.2011Q1

Instead of Q1 it should show Q3 bcoz I have changed it in .profile file. But at the same time time when I am typing the command env then the oracle home there is showing as

ORACLE_HOME=/apps/oracle/product/10.2.0.4.2011Q1

I believe I have to change the environment file some where else too.

Can anyone help me to find the file where I have to change it.

Regards
Oracle User

Do this and see if it changes it. Do this at your shell prompt:

ORACLE_HOME=/apps/oracle/product/10.2.0.4.2011Q3;export ORACLE_HOME

AFTER setting the above, test.

echo $ORACLE_HOME

If it works,put the line in. profile
