Are you replacing the MY_STR1 to MY_STR2 ?

i guess, you are missing s in the sed command

The below code writes the output to output.txt
Code:

find ./ -type f|xargs sed 's/MY_STR1/MY_STR2/' > output.txt

Once you confirm the changes, you can modifiy the file by using sed -i

Dear itkamaraj,

I tested sed command, so I don't need to check again (my command take a very long time to run, so I don't want to run twice).

But I need the output to check and report later.

try this.. i dont know whether it will capture the output or not.

just give a try.

Code:

find ./ -type f|xargs sed -i '/MY_STR1/MY_STR2/' | tee output.txt

but, when you use sed -i it will not show the file contents.
