Java Perl script help
Hi,
I am learning Perl recently and need some help on that.
I have script written in perl which stored in a server.that Script produce some output by running some standard commands.
every month i receive a list of servers (around 300-400) , and i need to login to each server and run the script get the output and produce a report.
Now i wanted to do the following with script. It can be bash, ksh or perl. perl will be prefer.

1) ftp/sftp/scp my script to all the listed server. using id and passwd.
2) login to all servers listed with a userid and passwd and the run the script
3) capture the output and scp back to originial server and stored in a file,appending single file and stored .

My script which i wrote generate a output by comma separated which i converted to excel.
If anyone can help me on that i really appreciate. This will be a great help for me.
FYI i can not install anything like "expect" , so only option is just write script. i believe it may be a complex one, but help will be really appreciated.

Is public key authentication for SSH in place between the servers?

yes. there is.

Assuming
  1. you have a list of all servers in a file, line by line and
  2. your original script just outputs whatever it does to the console
it's as simple as this:

while read server
do
    scp your_script.pl user@$server:/tmp/.
    ssh user@$server '/tmp/your_script.pl' >> your_final.csv
done < server_list.txt

If you want a pure Perl solution, take a look at Net::SSH::Perl, where you can send any required commands directly to the remote server without having a separate script & having to copy it each time.

also i am not sure if public key authentication set on all the servers or not. how to do same thing with userid and password authentication.

As a shell script: won't work, as the ssh command won't allow passing the password as a command line option, or by reading from a pipe. You'll either have to use expect (ask your SA about it) or re-write your script to use Net::SSH::Perl.
