This is what I get when I attempt to run it (I only changed the name of it)

perl sum.pl "09/01/2010"

The error was thrown because perl could not locate the DateTime module, as it states very clearly in the error message.
Most probably the module isn't installed.
Ask your SA to install the module and try the program thereafter.
