Awk help required

Hi All,

I have 2 .csv files as below

File1.csv
Code:
name1,20,30,date1
name2,30,40,date1

File2.csv
Code:
name1,25,35,date1
name2,45,55,date1

Can any one help me to add the 2nd and 3rd column of file1 and file2 and write the output into a new file as below

Code:
name1,45,65,date1
name2,75,95,date1

Thanks in advance.
Ajay

Excuse me for ask. Why does he must use a recent awk version? I don't see that something is not included in original awk

the one "1" in bold in the code below is not recognized in the old awk versions.

Code:
awk 'BEGIN{FS=OFS=","}NR==FNR{a[$1]=$2;b[$1]=$3;next}NF{$2+=a[$1];$3+=b[$1]}1' file1 file2
