IP Address
Hi,
How can I get the IP address of a server?
I can get the node name using the hostname command but is there any command like ipconfig in Windows?

# Solaris - one way
/usr/sbin/arp $(hostname) | nawk -F'[()]' '{print $2}'

On HP-UX

Do a lanscan and get the listing of network interfaces.

then do a ifconfig {interface}

getip <server hostname>

for hostname, just type

you can also do all this directly
