using expr command to add value from two file
How to add two number from two different file using expr command ??

Like i have file A and B

Both contain Numaric like

File A

34
45
56


File B

34
67
89

I want to add first number number from both file
34+45=Result in some other file
45+67=Result in some other file

It is possible it can be done by awk??

Thanks for ur reply but i made a awk good take a look at it

awk 'FNR==NR{_[++d]=$1;next}{_[FNR]+=$1}END{for(i in _) print _[i]}' file1 file2
