grepping a range of values

I need to return all records in a file starting with

a row that says

Code:
TABLE: <tabl name>
lists of hexadecimal records

TABLE: <some table>

TABLe is a key word in the file. I know the name of the table I want to start with. I do not know the name of the table that I will end with. I just need to end when the word: TABLE: comes up.

I need everything between those 2 records. This field has 1 column.

Hi, try:
Code:
awk 'p && /TABLE/{p=0}p;/TABLE: <tabl name>/{p=1}' infile

Or you can do it this way...
Code:
ex -s +'/tabl name/;/TABLE:/p | q!' file

If it is including the TABLE lines, then:
Code:
sed '/TABLE: <tabl name>/,/TABLE/!d' file
