RHEL: Problem while using "purify gcc" for ESQL-C

Hi

I am facing a problem while doing Purify Instrumentation of the Informix ESQL-C files. The system is RedHat Linux 5.6 and compiler is gcc.
I have set both CC and INFORMIXC variables to "purify gcc" and compiled the source code. All the .c and .ec files were compiled successfully,
but during linking I am faciing the real problem! During linking Purify is trying to instrument the ESQL-LIB libraries, as well as some System libraries!
Purify isn't just linking the already instrumented source codes with the ESQL-LIB libraries, but also trying to instrument the ESQL-LIB libraries -
and hence references are not found! Please check the following -

.c file is compiling fine -
Code:
/home/purify/rational/releases/PurifyPlus.7.0.1/i386_linux2/bin/purify /usr/bin/gcc -O -m64 -I../../../include -I- -I../../../include -c DBUldcmpr.c
gcc version 4.1.2 20080704 (Red Hat 4.1.2-44)

.ec file is compiling fine -
Code:
/users/informix/IFX1170_1_ATP_RHEL5/IDS/bin/esql -c -O -m64 -I. DBUcfparm.ec
+ INFORMIXC=/home/purify/rational/releases/PurifyPlus.7.0.1/i386_linux2/bin/purify /usr/bin/gcc
gcc version 4.1.2 20080704 (Red Hat 4.1.2-44)

But the actual problem is occurring during linking -
Code:
+ /home/purify/rational/releases/PurifyPlus.7.0.1/i386_linux2/bin/purify /usr/bin/gcc -O -m64 -o ../../../bin/DBUPD DBUmain.o ../../../lib/libDBUPD.a

As you can notice it is trying to instrument ESQL-LIB files like - libkyrcinf.a, libifsql.a etc. How I can solve this problem?
I have tried to exclude this libraries by Purify -selective -exclude-libs command, but this doesn't work in Linux. Also I am not sure whether this is the real fix to this issue!

So can you please help me out guys? Did you ever faced this issue? Trying to solve this issue for the last two days without any success!

Thanks in advance...

Regards
