hi,

how can i find where the C compiler is installed on HP-UX iatnium?

You can try the "which" command on the name of you compiler:
which cc
which gcc
which g++

If that doesn't work, it is usually in the /opt directory tree. try find
assuming cc

find /opt -name 'cc' -ls -l {} \; 2>/dev/null
