Actually Text user interface - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia describes something but it's not obvious that this is what the user wants. Anyhow, that was the #1 hit in Google and contains some useful forward pointers; has the OP read up on curses (and/or slang and/or newt) or are we supposed to do the googling for you?

As for era, i am not asking to get the forumers to google for me but to see if any of the experts here have any recommended website that they often visit....
