SYNOPSIS
desktop2menu --help|--version
desktop2menu desktop file [package name]
DESCRIPTION
desktop2menu generates a skeleton menu file from the supplied freedesktop.org desktop file.
The package name to be used in the menu file may be passed as an additional argument. If it is not supplied then desktop2menu will attempt
to derive the package name from the data in the desktop file.

transition-check - check a package list for involvement in transitions
SYNOPSIS
transition-check --help|--version
transition-check [-f|--filename=FILENAME] [source package list]
DESCRIPTION
transition-check checks whether any of the listed source packages are involved in a transition for which uploads to unstable are currently
blocked.
If neither a filename nor a list of packages is supplied, transition-check will use the source package name from debian/control.
OPTIONS -f, --filename=filename
Read a source package name from filename, which should be a Debian package control file or .changes file, and add that package to the
list of packages to check.
EXIT STATUS
The exit status indicates whether any of the packages examined were found to be involved in a transition.
0 Either --help or --version was used, or none of the packages examined was involved in a transition.
1 At least one package examined is involved in a current transition.

There is no xorg.conf file and no XF86Config file on a certain FreeBSD machine:
# locate xorg.conf
/usr/local/man/man5/xorg.conf.5.gz
# locate XF86Config

I'm looking for finer granularity than the 20 ANSI escape sequence screen modes. What I'd like to do is have the terminal increase it's own height when I have to show the user a long menu.
Platform is Cygwin 64 running over Win 7 Pro.

What is the point of this? Whenever I close my shell it appends to the history file without adding this. I have never seen it overwrite my history file.
