dvipdft - create thumbnail images for use with dvipdfm
SYNOPSIS
dvipdft [DVIPDFM-OPTIONS...] filename[.dvi]
DESCRIPTION
dvipdft creates thumbnail pictures of the pages in your file and subsequently runs dvipdfm to create a PDF file with these thumbnails.
OPTIONS
All options are simply handed on to dvipdfm

SYNOPSIS
kpsewhere [ kpsewhich-OPTIONS... ] COMMAND
DESCRIPTION
kpsewhere is an extension to kpsewhich (as where is for which in tcsh). The intention is to provide a way to check for conflicts/shadowed
files. It will, however, only find one file per TEXMF tree.

We have a lot of scripts using cut as :
cut -c 0-8 --works for cut (GNU coreutils) 5.97, but does not work for cut (GNU coreutils) 8.4.
Gives error -
cut: fields and positions are numbered from 1
