fold - wrap each input line to fit in specified width
SYNOPSIS
fold [OPTION]... [FILE]...
DESCRIPTION
Wrap input lines in each FILE (standard input by default), writing to standard output.
Mandatory arguments to long options are mandatory for short options too.
-b, --bytes
count bytes rather than columns
-c, --characters
count characters rather than columns
-s, --spaces
break at spaces
-w, --width=WIDTH
use WIDTH columns instead of 80
--help display this help and exit
--version
output version information and exit

unexpand - convert spaces to tabs
SYNOPSIS
unexpand [OPTION]... [FILE]...
DESCRIPTION
Convert spaces in each FILE to tabs, writing to standard output. With no FILE, or when FILE is -, read standard input.
Mandatory arguments to long options are mandatory for short options too.
-a, --all
convert all whitespace, instead of initial whitespace
-t, --tabs=NUMBER
have tabs NUMBER characters apart instead of 8
-t, --tabs=LIST
use comma separated list of explicit tab positions
--help display this help and exit
--version
output version information and exit

Hey guys, I dont know if this is the section to put this in, but this was the closest one anyway, Im trying to modify this program so it can 'fold long lines at some reasonable length'

i have probleme to extract the columns info from file to another one;
FILE A look like :

y,inof1
z,info2
t,inof3

i want to add correpondant columns (info) to each line of FILE B and sort this file by this columns. (12 Replies)

Tried using fold, however fold will cut words.
