DESCRIPTION
ati is an Xorg wrapper driver for ATI video cards. It autodetects whether your hardware has a Radeon, Rage 128, or Mach64 or earlier class
of chipset, and loads the radeon(4), r128(4), or mach64 driver as appropriate.
SUPPORTED HARDWARE
The ati driver supports Radeon, Rage 128, and Mach64 and earlier chipsets by loading those drivers. See those manpages for specific cards
supported.
CONFIGURATION DETAILS
Please refer to xorg.conf(5) for general configuration details, and the specific card driver for driver configuration details.

I've been trying to configure XFree86, and the first times that I have, it will only run at 320x? resolution.. I"m installing my ATI card in FC4. I'm going off of instructions that i've found. I recent got a Compaq Presario with Vista Installed. I reformatted the drive and loaded Redhat Fedora. It runs well except I can only get 800 X 600 resolution. I'm looking for a way to extract the video card properties (Name, Driver version, amount of vram). I've managed to deal with nVidia cards, but nothing came for ATI/AMD cards and other kind of chipsets. Can someone point a way to do this?
