Hi ,
This might be the stupidest question I am asking, but I am struck with this problem. I am trying to merge 2 files, file1 has header and file2 has contents. while I merge them , it merges from the 1st line of file1.
for ex: file1

time to ask the folks here
say I have two files, with each has 1 column, is there any way i merge these two files and put the column in file2 as column2 in the new merged file? how about I have 3 files and put the content in file2 as column2 and content in file3 as column3?

Source data file from oracle, terminated by ",". 'Cause some of fields have \r\n, then those lines were splitted into multiple lines in the expoted data file. Just vi this file, and found ^M. How to concatenate these line into one if it has a ^M at then end.

I installed oracle 10g (10.2.0.2) RAC on 2 IBM p5 570 servers running AIX 5.3ML04 and HACMP5.2 (used Raw devices, not used GPFS). Each server has 4 x 1Gbps ethernet cards (NICs), en0 and en1 for boot address, en2 and en3 for oracle interconnect.
