read line question

Here is my script:

#!/bin/sh
days=10
temporal_folder=/tmp/`basename $0`-$$
blacklist=bob.txt

mkdir $temporal_folder

find /home -type f -atime +$days | \
while read file
do
while read line
do
if [ $line != $file ]; then
owner=`ls -l $file | awk ' { print $3 } '`
basename $file >> $temporal_folder/$owner
cp $file /tmp/old
fi
done < $blacklist #black list
done #find's output

---------------------------------------------

So the script shoudnt copy the files that are listed in bob.txt

if the bob.txt is like:

/home/test/xyz

It works ( the xyz file is not copied)

but

if the bob.txt is like:

/qwer/yuu/uuu
/home/test/xyz

It doesnt work.Despite xyz file is in bob.txt, it is copied.
What should I do?

You can use grep to exclude the files listed in your blacklist with the -v and -f option. Check the man page for the explanation of those options.
Your script should looks like:

Code:
#!/bin/sh
days=10
temporal_folder=/tmp/`basename $0`-$$
blacklist=bob.txt

find /home -type f -atime +$days | grep -vf $blacklist |while read file
do
  owner=`ls -l "$file" | awk ' { print $3 } '`
  basename "$file" >> $temporal_folder/$owner
  cp "$file" /tmp/old
done

Please place your code between code tags next time to improve readability.
Select your code and click on the # symbol above the edit window or place your code between code brackets as follow:

HTML Code:
[code]
awk '{print $3}' file
[/code]

Post a snippet of the output of the command "find /home -type f -atime +$days" and the contents of the file "bob.txt".

contents of bob.txt

/rty/rty.htt
/home/test.html.txt

output of find /home -type f -atime +$days

/home/test.html.txt

but as I mentioned before if the contents of bob.txt is only
/home/test.html.txt

it works

It should works with the given contents of the file and the output of the find command.
Have you create the file with a dos/windows editor?
