Question on formattting
I have data as follows, I wantto add a character to the word ending with “,”. Could you please help me how can we do this ?

I/P
"primary,friend,apple,orange"

O/P
"aprimary,afriend,aapple,aorange"

sed -r 's/[a-z]+,/a&/g'

but in your example you add a "a" to orange. So it's more something like:

sed -r 's/[a-z]+[^a-z]/a&/g'
